(These are the 2 most common questions that I come across in my line of work. Let’s break them down today).
A Life Coach is a wellness professional who helps people make progress in their lives and attain more joy and fulfillment. A Life Coach is someone who can help you improve your life, feel better, grow and maintain harmonious relationships, attain and exceed your personal and professional goals.
With that said, life coaching should NOT be confused with counseling or therapy and can never take the place of those two fields.
However, if you’d like to work with someone who is professionally trained and will give you an objective perspective, insights, and enthusiastic support in a safe space that allows you to see yourself clearly and be clear, then life coaching is for you.
Life Coaching is also NOT giving advice or telling you what to do. Most people already know what to do in order to change their lives for the better, but they are not doing it.
That’s where a Life Coach comes in to help them identify the blocks, encourage self-discovery and growth as well as hold them accountable for their plan of action.
When should you consider coaching?
When you are ready to change. When you are ready to take the leap. When the desire for change is more than the desire to stay in your comfort zone.
Ultimately, life coaching allows you to maximize your potential, BUT you have to be willing to put in the work.
